Role Overview
As the Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for guiding and managing a team of engineers focused on creating innovative software for the automotive sector. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop technical strategies, oversee project delivery, and ensure top-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of advanced software solutions tailored for the automotive industry.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to align on technical requirements and project goals.
• Drive technical excellence by implementing best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
• Manage project timelines and resources to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring product reliability and performance.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the team’s work cutting-edge and effective.
Requirements
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Strong technical background, with expertise in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++) and software development for automotive or related industries.
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams and delivering complex software projects on time and to specification.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on performance optimization.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
• Right to work in Germany (relocation assistance available for qualified candidates).
