About the Role:
Redpanda is looking for our second Information Technology Engineer, with an emphasis on the "Engineer". We believe that an engineering approach is a benefit to most technical challenges and we're looking to hire someone that feels the same. While strong technical skills are highly valuable, being able to take those skills and turn them into automated processes are where we see the difference between good and great. Join our Redpanda engineering team to build IT from the ground up.
You Will:
Work with our security and compliance teams to establish and enforce compliance controls throughout the organization
Identify gaps and areas for improvement in our corporate solutions and solve them using a mix of technical expertise and software/service selection
Improve MDM, patch management and vulnerability management for a globally distributed workforce.
Establish and create IT processes and select new tools
Support employees with technical issues and manage new hire onboarding
Maintain inventory for computer hardware, software licenses and third party system access
Help drive IT projects to completion
You Have:
5+ years of experience in an IT engineer or system administrator role
Experience writing scripts to automate IT processes (Python, Powershell, etc.)
Experience managing IT projects
Working knowledge of various SSO protocols (SAML, OIDC) and using them in enterprise-grade solutions like Okta, EntraID, etc.
Experience configuring, troubleshooting and managing communications and collaboration tools, including Slack, Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom
Experience in managing Apple, Linux and Windows devices
Experience in configuring and monitoring endpoint security
Ability to work autonomously in a fully distributed environment including support for employee onboarding, employee offboarding, and asset management
Excellent written and oral communication skills
