Job Title: Systems Administrator

Location: Halifax, NS (Permanent Remote)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our team. This role requires a strong technical background in Cisco ASA Firewall/VPN and server/network support. Additional experience with SolarWinds and Powershell is highly desirable. As a Systems Administrator, you will play a key role in maintaining, supporting, and optimizing the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring a seamless experience for end-users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support IT infrastructure, including complex analysis, installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems and applications.
• Monitor software and servers to ensure they meet licensing requirements, are up to date, and function smoothly for users.
• Configure, maintain, and monitor security and access control systems to safeguard network integrity.
• Collaborate on business continuity initiatives, including data backup, restoration, and disaster recovery planning.
• Ensure high availability of systems and implement strategies to minimize service outages.
• Make independent decisions regarding work methods, following organizational guidelines and receiving guidance when needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3+ years of IT experience, particularly in networking and server management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Access.
• Hands-on experience with SolarWinds, VPNs, Cisco ASA Firewalls, and Powershell.
• A passion for enhancing and improving consumer and end-user experiences.
