Background Requirements
• BS degree in HR or SHRM, PHR, CBP, CCP or any other recognized HR Certification is a plus.
• At least two years of previous Payroll experience is preferred.
• Previous experience working with Checkwriters is preferred.
• Knowledge of HR and employment laws is required.
Job Responsibilities
• Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software.
• Performs routine tasks and creates systems required to administer and execute HR programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave (PTO); disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
What is Being Offered
• Challenge: The HR & Payroll Generalist will administer the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including employee relations, hiring, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices with focus on one company in Easthampton, Mass and another in Amsterdam, NY. This position will begin as a shared role with another member of the HR team for training purposes.
