Senior Linux Administrator in NETHERLANDS

For an international trading company, (that actually places tech above traders!) I am looking for a Site Reliability Engineer, also known as Linux & Automation master that likes to act in a fast paced - dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders globally. Due to the growth of this company they have just opened their Amsterdam office and you will be the first Linux master who joins.

In a global team you will manage a Linux based Private Cloud (ao Kubernetes / Linux); managing Storage, Security, Big Data, Linux, Networking amongst each other. You will be working in the team that is responsible for monitoring production systems, working alongside the traders to troubleshoot issues on the spot and work on improvements of the applications and infrastructure. (50% ops, 50% improvement).

Next to this, you will be speaking to different hubs of stakeholders (Developers, Traders, Infra Engineers, Support), taking ownerships of the different (global) projects that run simultaneously.

Tech requirements:

• 8+ experience as a Linux SRE/System Engineer – bare metal;
• Solid understanding of the Linux Operating System;
• Strong Networking skills (multicast, deployment of network services, low latency);
• Scripting skills in Python
• Strong communicator and interest to work in a chaotic and high-pressure environment. As the man in the middle you try and think steps ahead when it comes to speed; availability; stability and performance. This is your game and you like having an impact!

Salary: 140k + bonus

Location: Amsterdam

WFH: 3 days in office, 2 at home

Relocation within EU is possible and funded
