Open to Relocate: This role offers the relocation support for applicants outside Australia to move to our global headquarters in Perth, Western Australia.

As the Senior Designer, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products, from concept to commercialization. Your extensive experience in industrial design will be invaluable as you mentor junior team members and collaborate with Product Managers to translate briefs into innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Bring innovation and creative flair to the design process to create products that solve consumer problems.
• Generate all of the substantive documentation required for vendors to develop.
• Temper creativity with a commercial lens to ensure that products are right priced and commercially viable.
• Actively research the marketplace, competitors, trade events and other sources for trends and concepts that will inform new product and brand extension.
• Practice clear a clear and concise communication style across all parts of the business.
• Use a range of tools that could include (but are not limited too) sketching, CAD Modelling, 3D Modelling, 3D Prototyping, pattern making and photorealistic rendering to help drive the sample development process.
• Lead multiple projects, deliver creative deliverables in a timely manner, and prioritise different tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  
  

• 7-10 years demonstrated experience working as an industrial designer creating consumer focused product.
• Great work ethic and demonstrated capacity to lead cross-functional collaboration in pursuit of team outcomes.
• Highly competent at working with industry standard design teams, such as (but not limited too) Solidworks, Autodesk Fusion, Sketchbook Pro, Keyshot 10 and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Working knowledge on how to manage and lead multiple projects, execute creative deliverables on time and on task, and prioritize different tasks in a fast-paced environment
• A team player, able to lead direct cross functional engineering team communication and work both independently and in support of team outcomes
• Display self-motivation and excellence across all stages of the design process – conceptualization, building prototypes, crafting high-fidelity aesthetic designs, or supporting scaled production efforts.
