About the Role:
As the first IT hire in the Asia-Pacific region, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the local office’s technology infrastructure. This is a highly technical, independent role that will require working closely with colleagues in New York and London. You will report to the Head of Infrastructure in New York and oversee the design, implementation, and day-to-day operation of all technical systems in Singapore.
Initially, the role will be remote, transitioning to in-office as the build-out completes. This includes hands-on work to assist with the office’s physical setup and managing local tech support needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end technology setup of the Singapore office.
- Provide in-person support for hardware and software, ensuring smooth operations.
- Work independently while coordinating with global tech teams (New York, London).
- Manage cloud-based infrastructure (AWS) and Linux systems.
- Administer networking, security, email systems, and endpoint controls.
- Support desktop environments across multiple platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux).
- Collaborate with portfolio managers and other business stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or a related field.
- AWS and Linux administration expertise (must-have).
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, able to liaise effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong networking and scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Familiarity with security and compliance controls (firewalls, endpoint security).
- Hands-on experience with email systems, MDM/MAM platforms, and cloud-managed services.
- Bonus: Financial industry experience or a background with proprietary trading firms.
