About us
We are an early-stage start-up with the mission to build a next-generation European aerospace prime.
Joining us at this stage offers a rare chance to play a pivotal role in shaping the foundation of a company working on advancing Europe’s technological sovereignty.
As an early team member, you’ll have a direct impact on our strategic direction, technology development, and the creation of innovative solutions that will drive our success.
You’ll be working alongside a small, dynamic team where your contributions will be visible and significant from day one. This is an opportunity to take ownership, collaborate closely with founders, and influence key decisions that will shape our growth. As we scale, you’ll grow with us, gaining unmatched experience in building a high-impact company from the ground up.
What we're looking for
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be instrumental in bringing our drone technology from concept to mass production. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team of engineers, product managers, and partners, you will take responsibility for designing, optimizing, and scaling critical mechanical components. This role will allow you to push the boundaries of modular, easily manufacturable, high-performance drone systems in a fast-paced, highly iterative environment.
The day-to-day
- Drive the design and development of mechanical systems for FPV drones, from initial concept to full-scale production.
- Collaborate closely with software, electronics, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of components.
- Create detailed 3D models and perform design analysis using CAD and FEA tools to validate structural integrity, thermal performance, and manufacturability.
- Drive rapid prototyping efforts and test drones in both lab and field environments, iterating quickly to improve performance and reliability.
- Develop production tooling and work closely with manufacturing partners to ensure cost-effective and scalable production processes.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, assembly guides, test procedures, and safety standards.
- Participate in cross-functional design reviews with a focus on Design for Manufacturing (DFM), ensuring all components meet high standards of robustness and scalability.
- Support the introduction of new drone products by troubleshooting design and production issues, optimizing assembly processes, and ensuring quality control.
You should apply if you
- Have a strong background in mechanical design, with a focus on drones, aerospace, or robotics.
- Are proficient in CAD software, and have experience conducting structural analysis.
- Have experience taking complex hardware products from prototype through to mass production, with a deep understanding of DFM principles.
- Enjoy working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment, testing and iterating on designs in the field, and solving practical engineering challenges.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey technical concepts clearly to both engineers and non-engineers.
- Thrive in a startup environment where you can take ownership of projects, drive rapid innovation, and have a direct impact on the final product.
Nice to haves
- Experience working on FPV drones or other unmanned systems, with knowledge of the unique challenges involved.
- Experience working on modular and easily manufacturable designs, particularly with a focus on reducing assembly complexity.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to drone flight and production.
What we offer
Competitive salary and equity options
A dynamic and fast-paced startup environment with significant room for growth and responsibility
A collaborative and flexible working culture focused on innovation and outcomes, not time-tracking
Remote work and relocation support for top candidates
