Job Posting: Front End Developer (Remote)
We need a frontend developer with 2-3 years of experience with a proactive mindset and a passion for clean, well-structured code. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of web application architecture and a strong background in JavaScript and TypeScript.
They should be highly proficient in both NestJs and Next.js frameworks, having extensive hands-on experience in designing and developing scalable applications. Experience with real-time data handling using Socket.io, state management using Redux or Context API, and user authentication and role-based access control are a must.
The candidate should be capable of designing complex database schemas with PostgreSQL and TypeORM and should be adept at writing comprehensive unit and integration tests, with a familiarity with Jest being a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills are crucial for this role, as well as the ability to work independently and manage their time effectively in a remote work environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills are also required, as the developer will need to coordinate with a remote team and potentially interact with stakeholders.
Experience in the sports domain, specifically with combat sports or MMA, would be advantageous, but it's not a strict requirement. Above all, we're looking for someone with a love for development and a willingness to learn and grow within our organization.
Responsibilities
Design and develop the backend of our platform using NestJs and PostgreSQL.
Create robust frontend components with Next.js.
Design a complex database schema to capture detailed statistics about MMA fights.
Implement real-time data updates using Socket.io.
Handle CRUD operations, sorting, filtering, and pagination for various entities.
Develop advanced features, such as user authentication, role-based access control, and statistical comparisons between fighters.
Write comprehensive unit and integration tests.
Follow SOLID principles and other best practices for software design.
Document your code and maintain good version control practices.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Frontend Developer.
Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
Proficiency with NestJs and Next.js.
Experience with PostgreSQL and TypeORM.
Familiarity with Redux or Context API for state management.
Experience with real-time data handling using Socket.io.
Familiarity with user authentication and role-based access control.
Experience with unit and integration testing. Familiarity with Jest is a plus.
Exceptional problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable working remotely and managing your own time.
Minimum 30 - 40 hours per week
