Job Description

Senior WordPress Developer (Remote, LATAM) - Full-time

A senior-level WordPress role where you design, build, and own the website, not just execute tickets. 100% remote, LATAM-based, with real benefits and a direct line to leadership.

About Viva

Viva connects US companies with exceptional Executive Assistants and opens meaningful, career-defining work for talented people across Latin America. We're a globally distributed team of 200+ across 15+ countries, scaling fast, and our marketing engine is scaling with us.

Why this role exists

Our website is the front door to our growth engine and right now it's the bottleneck. Paid and SEO campaigns are ready to launch, but pages aren't shipping fast enough. We need a WordPress Developer who can design, build, and ship pages quickly and cleanly so marketing can launch, test, and grow.

What you get

100% remote work, forever. Fixed schedule, weekends off, no overtime. Competitive USD compensation with salary reviews every 6 months and performance bonuses. Comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision, mental health, and routine care). Paid holidays, vacation, sick leave, and family care days. Parental leave and family-friendly policies. A culture built around growth, ownership, well-being, and continuous learning.

With a 4.7/5 Glassdoor rating, we're proud of the experience we create for our team.

What you'll do

  1. Design and build pages in WordPress: landing pages, thank-you pages, registration pages, and solution pages. You take a brief and brand guidelines, create an original design, and turn it into a live, on-brand page. Not pixel-matching someone else's mockup. Your own design, your own layout, your own UX decisions.
  2. Protect our SEO foundation: implement technical and on-page SEO fixes without breaking what's working. Rankings, redirects, metadata, and site speed stay intact every time you publish.
  3. Keep conversion tracking working: GA4, GTM, HubSpot. Every paid and SEO visit needs to be measured. If tracking breaks, we can't tell if the site is converting.
  4. Build pages that convert, not just pages that look good: run A/B tests, improve layouts, forms, and CTAs based on data, working closely with the marketing team.
  5. Maintain the site: navigation, CTAs, page performance, and overall health.

Who you are

  1. 5+ years building WordPress websites end to end. Complete builds from scratch, not just updates. You have a portfolio of live production sites. Portfolio quality matters as much as the number of years.
  2. A strong eye for design. You turn a brief into an original, on-brand page with clear hierarchy, good spacing, and smart UX. You don't need to be a graphic designer, but you know what good looks like and you can create it yourself.
  3. Conversion-minded. You care how a page performs, not just how it looks. You're comfortable running A/B tests and improving layouts based on data.
  4. Solid on technical and on-page SEO. You move fast without hurting rankings.
  5. Familiar with conversion tracking and marketing tools: GA4, GTM, HubSpot.
  6. You use AI tools to work faster: Claude, ChatGPT, or similar. You use AI to speed up coding, debugging, and problem-solving while reviewing everything before shipping.
  7. Strong English skills: B2 spoken, C1 written. You communicate clearly in Slack, Notion, and emails every day with a US-facing team.
  8. Marketing-minded and communicative. You've worked with marketing teams (not just IT), you flag blockers early, and you never go dark.

Before you apply: make sure this fits you

This is a design-heavy role. You won't be building from a Figma file someone else made, or applying a template. You'll create page designs from scratch: layouts, visual hierarchy, UX decisions, all yours. If that excites you, great. If design isn't your thing and you prefer to focus only on code, this probably isn't the right match.

We need deep WordPress experience. We're looking for someone who has built full websites from the ground up, not just updated existing sites or added content. Plugin configuration and theme customization are part of the job, but only a small part.

English is our working language. The entire team communicates in English every day: async, in writing, and on calls. We need at least B2 spoken English and C1 written English, since most of your communication will be written (Slack, Notion, build notes, emails) with a US-facing team.
