We are seeking a skilled Senior Android Developer (m/f/d) to lead the development of our Android application. The ideal candidate has significant experience in Android development, a deep understanding of the Android ecosystem, and a track record of delivering high-quality, scalable applications. As a Senior Android Developer, you will work closely with our product managers, engineering manager, designers, and other developers.

Your Profile

• You communicate fluently in English, with clarity in both speech and writing.
• You have ideally studied computer science or a related field.
• You are proactive, communicative, and self-directed
• You work effectively in a team environment.
• You are comfortable in a continuous feedback environment.
• You have solid experience working on Android codebases involving Java and Kotlin. Ideally, you have experience migrating a Java codebase to Kotlin as part of adopting modern Android development practices.
• You have at least 8 years of experience in Android development.
• You have a strong understanding of mobile app design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• You are confident working with HTTP networking, WebSockets, and push notifications.
• You are committed to creating code that is both performant and readable.
• You are not afraid to tidy up and improve existing code when needed.
• You have excellent debugging skills.
• You are proficient in writing unit tests.
• You have experience with continuous integration (CI) pipelines.

Your Responsibilities

• You will lead our Android application's design, development, and maintenance, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
• You will drive our Android application to the next level, understanding the trade-offs required to work with legacy code and modernizing the code base.
• You will drive processes and technical improvements to favor a stable development process.
• You will participate in code reviews.
• You will own engineering tasks and projects and drive these initiatives by yourself.
• You will write test cases and prepare documentation.

Location

• The position is full-remote.
• We have engineering offices in Madrid (Spain).

Employment Type

Our Hiring Process

📲 Your first step will be an intro call directly with the Head of Engineering, the Engineering Manager, and our Lead Architect.

🛠️ Then, we’ll schedule a technical interview with the Lead Architect and an Android developer. It will include a short technical online assessment.

💯 You will always get complete feedback about your performance.

👫 If the feedback is positive, you will have a call with our CEO to get to know each other.

📖 Last but not least, the final stage will be to receive an offer.
