Seeking a Senior Cloud Security Architect (Blockchain) to work fully remote

This client is one of the largest blockchain development companies in the world building out household name applications across finance, DeFi, NFT’s and general Blockchain SaaS solutions. Most of their employees operate fully remotely and we are looking for staff across a number of disciplines with this top tier client.
Responsibilities
Deploy and administer endpoint security solutions
Improve existing functionality, its design, and methodologies
Work closely with other core members on the team
Participate in identifying tools to secure CI/CD pipelines, and source control such as GIT and GitLab
Perform risk assessments for new applications integrating with core services
Identify, resolve, and mitigate vulnerabilities on GCP cloud systems, from:
Secure configuration, container and system hardening
Vulnerability scanning and assessments
Operational and runtime practices and procedures
Log and event analysis and alerting
Perform penetration testing against infrastructure, platform, and applications
Manage firewalls, load balancers, and web application firewalls (WAF)
Assist in the creation of cybersecurity standards and implementing security best practices across all technology platforms, following industry standard frameworks
Identify and evaluate risks in the cloud infrastructure and work with stakeholders to mitigate
Ability to mentor & coach others while providing effective time management
Participate in investigations, and remediation for security events and incidents
Develop and maintain documentation for procedures, tooling, and events
Maintain keen awareness of the cloud infrastructure security landscape and emerging threat vectors
Requirements
Minimum 4 years’ hands-on security experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), (AWS & Azure optional), or on-prem equivalent
Possess high level understanding of security risks as they apply to cloud solutions; network & data segregation; data protection; infrastructure management
Hands-on experience managing and maintaining WAF’s, firewalls and load balancers
Ability to work without supervision, with proven ability to prioritise
Experience with open-source software and cloud services
Experience working with DevOps and SRE Teams
Exceptional communication skills and ability to evangelise best practices for security across all teams and management
Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures, and administration of GCP or AWS
The ability to take ownership and see initiatives through completion in timely manner
Bachelor’s degree or greater in IT or Computer Science highly preferred
Experience in Google Cloud Security, IAM, GCP SCC, gRPC, GLB, Cloud Armor
Potential Skills
GCP Security Certificate, CISSP or equivalent preferred
FinTech industry experience
Cryptocurrency knowledge
Knowledge of blockchain technologies and fault tolerant protocols
