IT Manager – Part Time

I'm currently working with a data analytics organisation who are looking for an IT Manager to join the business on a part time basis.

Days - 2-3 per week

Salary - £45k - £55k pro-rata

Location - Fully remote

About the job:

The successful candidate will look after IT, IT security and IT processes for the organisation. They will be responsible for the quality of IT delivery and support. They will work with the Operations Director to deliver strategy and will implement the resulting actions, reporting back to the Operations Director on a regular basis. They will be technically capable, trustworthy and have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements:

In-depth IT experience, including some or all of:

• User Management – Microsoft 365 / Azure Entra ID predominantly – including user creation, authentication (e.g. OIDC, SAML), permissions
• Virtual infrastructure management with Azure Virtual Machines, Networks, Application Gateways, firewalls, storage accounts, backups etc.
• Endpoint management with Intune – including creation, maintenance and monitoring of policies, upgrading & updating operating systems, deploying and upgrading applications
• Security management with Microsoft Security products - including creation, maintenance and monitoring of policies, reviewing security posture
• Completing & maintaining security certifications as an organisation – e.g. Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001 – including performing remedial actions
• Asset purchasing, assigning & tracking
• Domain registration & DNS configuration
• Process documentation
• Delivering IT & information security training & performing audits
• Supporting end users with their devices – predominantly Windows & iOS
• Liaising with IT suppliers to procure hardware & services as well as obtain support when required.

Experience in the Qlik data platform & related technologies would be valuable from an infrastructure, development and support point of view (but not essential), including some of:

• Qlik Analytics - Sense SaaS & On-premises, QlikView, NPrinting
• Qlik Data Integration – Cloud, Replicate, Compose, Catalog
• Snowflake, Databricks
