C++ Lead Software Developer – Sports betting Hedge fund – London

Option to work from home up to 4 days a week or fully remote.

C++ Lead Software Developer is required for exciting and innovative Software House Company/Hedge Fund based in London. The successful C++ software engineer will be working closely with the quantitative researchers and alongside other extremely talented and driven engineers to build and support systematic trading models. You will helping maintain and extend a large-scale distributed system written primarily in modern C++23, Boost.Asio. and Python 3.12.

The role would suit developers with 5+ years C++ programming and project management/leadership experience experience. You will be joining a tight-knit team of research mathematicians, computer scientists and trading analysts at the top of their chosen fields.

Essential Skills

• At least 5 years C++ experience in a commercial environment; strong familiarity with modern style and standards (C++14 or greater) is a MUST.
• Project management/leadership experience experience is a MUST.
• Proven track record in managing software projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
• A proactive, self-driven approach to work, with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
• Solid understanding of core software development processes and best practices.
• Interest in systems design and the ability to contribute to architectural decisions.
• Knowledge of Linux and Git.
