Senior Penetration Tester | Ireland (Remote) | Contract Role Initial 9 Months (Extendable)


Experis have partnered with a Global Tech client in Ireland looking to recruit multiple Senior Penetration Testers on a fully remote basis.


As a Senior Penetration Tester, you will be instrumental in securing our client’s products by performing thorough penetration testing to uncover and address security vulnerabilities. Your daily responsibilities will involve selecting penetration tests from our client’s internal board and conducting full-scale security assessments from start to finish. You’ll collaborate with a dynamic team committed to upholding the highest levels of security for our client’s products and services.


This contract will be for an initial 9 month period, with scope to extend past that in the future. You can work from home full-time so long as you are Ireland based.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead penetration testing and security evaluations across a range of products, with a particular focus on Azure Active Directory.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, emerging threats, and the latest tools and technologies in security domain.
  • Create and implement comprehensive test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures aimed at identifying weaknesses and security gaps.
  • Provide mentorship to junior team members and contribute to the enhancement of internal penetration testing tools and processes.
  • Perform code analysis, disassembly, and reverse engineering to uncover vulnerabilities and propose effective mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with product development teams to gain a deep understanding of system architecture and design, proactively addressing security concerns.
  • Produce detailed documentation of security findings, including descriptions, risk severity, and actionable remediation recommendations.


Key Experience Required:

  • BSc or MSC in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Previous solid experience in penetration testing or security research (ideally 5 years experience).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Java or C/C++.
  • Experience with security tools like Metasploit, Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, cryptography, web application vulnerabilities and attack vendors.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, GWAPT, or GPEN.
  • Previous experience in cloud security, with a focus on Azure services.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks like PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, and others.
