Senior .Net Developer in NEW YORK CITY METROPOLITAN AREA

As our Senior .Net Developer will be working with a small team of developers on codebases. They will be implementing new product features, resolving bugs, maintaining existing code, Web APIs and API integrations, and refactoring existing code onto newer platforms and technologies, across the breadth of products used both internally and externally by our clients and reward recipients. This role reports directly to our CTO.

Responsibilities:

• Work in an agile environment to develop, test, and maintain applications
• Work closely with product owners to effectively manage all stages of application lifecycle management from inception to launch to release management to modernization and culminating with application retirement.
• Ability to work within a team environment with strong collaboration, but also able to work as an independent contributor when needed.
• Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
• Work with teammates in the migration of older applications from VB.net and Web Forms
• Maintain and develop new features to internal and externally facing applications to enhance the customer experience.
• Troubleshooting and production support of client issues

Requirements:

• Prior experience creating reliable, scalable and performant applications based on an Object Oriented development language.
• At least 6 years working with C# and MVC
• At least 6 years MS SQL experience; Solid Understanding of relational databases, including stored procedures, views and triggers
• Experience with ASP.NET Web API, JSON, XML
• Experience administrating and using version control systems, preferably Git;
• Experience developing and maintaining Windows services
• Knowledge/experience with SQL Server Reports Services (SSRS)
• Experience with web applications with an emphasis on usability, performance, and scalability.
• Familiarity with HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, Angular
• Ability to write clean, documented, and standardized code that performs optimally in highly concurrent environments.

REMOTE ROLE - This role is primarily remote, expected to work ET time zone hours, with regular travel to our HQ based in Cold Spring NY.

Preference given to the following markets:

• New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Atlanta, North Carolina or Florida
