Take end-to-end ownership of the payroll operation for a fast-growing, multi-site national business. Manage the full payroll cycle for monthly, weekly, interim, and permanent employees using Moorepay. Requires deep UK payroll legislation knowledge and strong systems capability to ensure statutory compliance.

Key Highlights
End-to-end ownership of the complete payroll cycle for a geographically spread workforce
Management of complex pay groups including variable hours, overtime, and allowances
Primary operational owner and subject-matter expert for the Moorepay platform
Key Responsibilities
Own the complete payroll cycle from data collection and input through validation, approval, payment and post-payroll reconciliation.
Establish and manage a clear payroll calendar, cut-off timetable and control framework.
Process and validate starters, leavers, contractual changes, salary changes, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
Ensure accurate application of tax codes, National Insurance, student loans, and statutory payments.
Coordinate final payroll sign-off and ensure payment files are completed accurately and securely.
Act as the internal subject-matter expert and primary operational owner for Moorepay.
Ensure accurate and timely HMRC submissions, including Full Payment Submissions (FPS) and Employer Payment Summaries (EPS).
Oversee auto-enrolment payroll activity and pension deductions.
Maintain comprehensive payroll records and audit trails to support internal and external audits.
Produce accurate payroll MI for HR, Finance and senior leadership.

Contract: Full-time

Salary: £35-42,000 + benefits
