Key Responsibilities
Develop mechanical designs for customized oil-filled transformers
Perform design calculations to develop manufacturable, cost-effective solutions
Develop Bills of Material for standard and custom transformer components
Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation
Define loads and boundary conditions for FEA and review completed analysis
Create and modify designs using 2D CAD and 3D modeling software
Ensure designs meet customer requirements and applicable industry standards
Troubleshoot production and field issues and implement corrective design changes
Collaborate with engineering, sales, project management, and manufacturing teams
Support new product development, testing, validation, and continuous improvement
Maintain and improve engineering and mechanical design standards
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers

Sr. Mechanical Designer (Transformer Design Exp. Req.)

Location: Buffalo, NY (100% Onsite)

Salary: $110,000-$120,000 + Bonus Potential + Annual Cost of Living Increases

Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability, 401K w/ Match, PTO

Job Type: Full-Time

Typical Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm Flexible
