We are looking for a proactive Full Stack Developer to support and develop a career platform integrated with Workday for a large German company with over 1,000 open positions. This opportunity involves working independently as the sole developer, collaborating directly with the client through Asana to discuss requirements, resolve technical issues, and deliver continuous improvements. The role is suited to a solution-oriented developer with strong PHP, Laravel, WordPress, JavaScript, and API integration skills who enjoys ownership, creative problem-solving, and direct client communication.

## Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, implement, and optimize full-stack web solutions using PHP, Laravel, and WordPress.

- Build and maintain responsive, interactive, and accessible user interfaces using JavaScript, React or Vanilla JS, HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS, and SASS.

- Develop server-side logic and integrate external REST and SOAP APIs, particularly Workday API integrations.

- Manage Laravel jobs and queues, including API-related processes.

- Develop and maintain custom WordPress plugins and themes while working with WordPress core functionality.

- Optimize MySQL databases, including migrations, complex queries, and database performance.

- Conduct unit testing, code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to maintain high code quality.

- Optimize frontend and backend performance, page speed, SEO, and overall user experience.

- Collaborate directly with the client through Asana to clarify requirements, discuss solutions, and resolve issues.

- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and contribute creative, solution-oriented ideas.

## Required Qualifications

- At least 3 years of full-stack development experience with PHP, Laravel, WordPress, and JavaScript (ES6+).

- Experience with API integration and database optimization.

- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, including React or Vanilla JavaScript.

- In-depth understanding of Laravel, WordPress, and MySQL databases.

- Experience with frontend performance optimization and web accessibility.

- Experience with unit testing, including PHPUnit and Mockery, and debugging complex web applications.

- Familiarity with Docker, Git, Composer, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Fluent in English.

## Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with SOAP-based enterprise APIs, such as Workday.

- Knowledge of configuring Docker environments and CI/CD pipelines.

- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js.

- Basic knowledge of Sentry for error monitoring and setting up release tags.
