What are looking for: Cloud Operations Engineer-Networking Specialist
Act: 100% remote

Contract: As a contractor for 12 months with expansion

Role & Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage cloud networking solutions to ensure secure and reliable connectivity between cloud accounts, on-premises environments, and third-party services.
Establish and maintain VPNs, VPCs, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, and other connectivity solutions to enable seamless communication between multiple cloud environments.
Configure and manage cloud network components, including subnets, routing tables, security groups, network ACLs, load balancers, and firewalls.
Diagnose and resolve network-related issues across cloud environments, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Implement and enforce network security best practices, including encryption, access controls, and monitoring, to protect cloud assets.
Develop automation scripts using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to streamline network configurations and deployments.
Work closely with DevOps, Security, and Cloud Architecture teams to align network configurations with overall cloud strategies and business objectives.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including architecture diagrams, connectivity setups, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent network specialty certification is required. Additional certifications such as AWS Certified Advanced.
Networking - Specialty, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or GCP Network Engineer are a plus.
Proficiency in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with a strong focus on cloud networking and connectivity.
Strong knowledge of IP addressing, subnetting, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers.
Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to think critically and solve complex network issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Experience with hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud connectivity setups.
Knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN) and network function
