About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Automation Engineer with extensive experience in AWS cloud environments and DevOps practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and modifying Python scripts to interact with AWS APIs, facilitating the deployment of AWS services and automating infrastructure processes. This role involves building, maintaining, and enhancing CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless integration and delivery workflows. The candidate will also work on creating and modifying CloudFormation or Terraform templates to support infrastructure as code (IaC) initiatives, ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable cloud environments. A strong background in REST API development and end-to-end automation in AWS is essential. This is a remote position offering a contract duration of 12-24 months, with work authorization open to all types.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in cloud automation, DevOps, or related fields
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- AWS Certification at the associate or professional level (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud migrations (preferred)
- Proficiency in Python programming, including coding, debugging, and scripting for automation
- Expertise in AWS CloudFormation and Terraform for infrastructure as code
- Experience with REST API development and integration
- Knowledge of AWS native logging and monitoring services such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third-party tools like Splunk
- Familiarity with DevOps tools including UCD, Terraform, and native AWS CI/CD services
- Understanding of AWS security concepts including IAM policies, Security Groups, NACLs, and VPC components
- Experience with AWS data migration tools such as DMS, SMS, and DataSync
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to document and explain technical concepts effectively
- Experience working in Agile environments and utilizing issue tracking tools like JIRA and ServiceNow
- Knowledge of enterprise change management and issue escalation processes
