Defi Quant Role – A Pioneering Opportunity in Decentralized Finance

Job Description for Defi Quant:

The selected Defi Quant will work closely with our Quantitative CTO, backend, and smart contract teams to enhance and expand the capabilities of our platform. This role demands a proactive approach to developing real-time pricing models, portfolio construction, and solving complex stochastic models to find optimal order book parameters.

Responsibilities for Defi Quant:

• Craft and deploy pricing models for real-time Profit and Loss (PnL) of option-like instruments.
• Implement real-time portfolio construction tailored to user requirements.
• Analyze and solve stochastic models to derive optimal values for order book parameters.

Requirements for Defi Quant:

• Extensive knowledge in mathematics, evidenced by a mastery of stochastic processes and arbitrage-free valuation.
• Proficiency in numerical optimization, particularly convex optimization, and a deep understanding of numerical stability and conditioning.
• Exceptional command of the English language.
• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Scala and the JVM.
• Knowledge of Solidity, EVM, and smart contract design principles.
• Proficiency in the Python numeric stack (numpy/scipy, etc.).
• Derivatives trading experience.
• Familiarity with the principles and practices of decentralized finance.
