About The Role
Turn the field and distributor data of our customers into real business decisions. You work with sell-in/sell-out, distribution coverage, retail-execution metrics and the output of our AI models (shelf computer vision, demand forecasting, route optimization). The role sits between product, the AI/ML team and the real needs of the FMCG business.
What you will do
- Write and optimize SQL on PostgreSQL to extract and transform large volumes of field and sales data (orders, visits, stock, promotions)
- Analyze sell-out, distribution coverage (numeric/weighted), out-of-stock, MSL compliance and share-of-shelf by channel (GT, MT, HoReCa)
- Build and maintain dashboards and self-service reports for internal teams and customers
- Monitor data quality from the mobile apps and the computer-vision pipeline; define anomaly and gap checks
- Prepare and feature-engineer datasets for demand forecasting and route optimization with the AI/ML team
- Turn business questions into concrete analyses and clear recommendations for a non-technical audience
- Automate recurring analyses and reports with Python (pandas) instead of manual work
- Define metrics and benchmarks for new product features
- 2+ years as a Data Analyst / BI Analyst, ideally with sales, retail or FMCG data
- Strong SQL - joins, window functions, CTEs, query optimization (PostgreSQL a plus)
- Practical Python for analysis - pandas, numpy, Jupyter
- Experience with BI/visualization (Power BI, Metabase, Looker or similar) and building dashboards from scratch
- Understanding of basic statistical concepts - distributions, correlations, seasonality
- Clear communication of findings in Bulgarian and English to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Analytical, curious mindset - you get to the why behind the data
