Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

• Credibility: The Architect’s primary objective is to establish credibility for the Professional Services Group with clients.
• Design: Lead multiple concurrent projects, balancing strategy and tactical decision-making. Design solutions to complex business problems by extending proprietary software in ways that are supportable, upgradeable, maintainable, and ideally garner support across multiple customers.
• Communicate: Champion the understanding and value of the architecture function and strategy. Lead the architecture function, including direct and indirect team members, and secure active participation and strong advocacy from the Business and IT communities, customers, suppliers, and industry bodies.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Present Actimize solutions to customers in a post-sales role, establishing credibility for Professional Services.
• Lead solution design efforts on various AML projects.
• Design, review, and document the on-site architecture of AML solutions in collaboration with AML implementation teams and customer business and IT teams.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to project teams throughout all project phases, from planning to production deployment and beyond.
• Collaborate with product management to define new product features.
• Create standard architecture documents, best practices, and tools for the professional services team to use across various projects.
• Work with presales teams to design and present potential solutions to new customers and assist with RFI/RFP responses.
• Domestic travel required (up to 25%).

Qualifications

Must Have Experience in:

• Software Integration Solutions design
• Customer Presentation and Technical Writing
• Web architecture: web servers & application servers
• Database systems like Oracle, MS-SQL Server, and PostgresSQL
• Kubernetes and OpenShift
• Architecting solutions on AWS and container technologies
• Designing for high availability and high-volume scaling
• Customer-facing roles, preferably in Consulting or Professional Services capacity
• Rapidly learning new technologies and adapting to changing technology landscapes
• A consultative approach to problem-solving
• DevSecOps practices
• ETL processes
• Java programming
• Software architecture skills
• Client-facing roles
• Banking domain experience

Education:

BA degree in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant experience (an advanced degree is a plus) with 8-10 years of technical experience with a software company.

Nice to Have Experience in:

• Hardware sizing
• System interfaces: web services, message queuing
• System performance analysis and troubleshooting
• Experience within the Financial Services industry (banking, brokerage, or insurance)
