- Ability to follow approved runbooks and procedures to execute standard SQL Server changes (patching support, configuration updates, restarts) with supervision.
- Working understanding of ITSM processes using ServiceNow, including logging, updating, and tracking Incident and Request tickets with proper documentation.

Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience assisting in the administration of Microsoft SQL Server production environments, including basic Instance start/stop activities and routine operational maintenance.
- Working knowledge of SQL Server backup and recovery operations, including full/differential/log backups, restore execution under guidance, and verification of backup success.
- Familiarity with SQL Server preventive maintenance tasks, including index maintenance, statistics updates, and execution of scheduled maintenance jobs using standard scripts or plans.
- Ability to perform basic SQL Server health checks, including monitoring disk space, database growth trends, and identifying common availability risks for escalation.
- Basic exposure to SQL Server performance monitoring, including identifying slow running queries, monitoring CPU, memory, and I/O utilization, and capturing diagnostics for L2/L3 review.
