ABOUT THE CLIENT
We are supporting a frontier robotics company bringing humanoid robots into real world factories.
Rather than building robots from scratch, they deploy leading humanoid hardware and make it genuinely useful on the floor, autonomously performing real tasks across manufacturing, logistics and assembly. They are hardware agnostic and AI first, their edge is the intelligence that turns a humanoid into a working member of the team.

This is an environment where you have genuine ownership and a direct impact on technical direction from day one. If you want to build the methodology that makes humanoids actually work in the real world, rather than research them in a lab, this is for you.
THE ROLE, HEAD OF HUMANOID ROBOTICS
You will own how the company deploys humanoids autonomously, end to end. This is a senior, architecture level role building the pipeline that takes a humanoid from out of the box to a reliable 95% task success rate in a live factory.
This is a hands-on role with the autonomy to define the approach and build it, from methodology through to deployment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the end to end methodology for deploying humanoids autonomously in real factories
- Build teleoperation and VLA training pipelines, collecting demonstration data and training vision language action models to perform tasks autonomously
- Work with world models, using learned models of the scene to predict and generate the next action, ensuring they are physically accurate
- Build digital twins and simulation environments to validate and iterate before deployment
- Drive task success rates toward 95% on real hardware
- Work remotely on the architecture and come to Brussels to train the team when needed

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- Genuine, hands on experience deploying humanoid or manipulation robots to perform real tasks, not only research
- Strong grounding in the learning based robotics stack: VLAs, imitation learning, reinforcement learning, world models, or sim to real
- Strong system and architecture skills, able to build a function from the ground up with minimal supervision
- Comfortable with the autonomy and pace of an early stage team
- Excited by frontier physical AI and real ownership
- Right to work in Europe, remote working across the region
WHAT'S ON OFFER
- Salary up to €160,000 depending on experience, plus meaningful equity
- Fully remote across Europe, with travel to Brussels as needed
- Ground floor ownership of one of the most exciting problems in robotics
- The chance to shape the technical direction of the company from the start
