About VibesMeet

VibesMeet is a social networking, creator-events, and sponsor-matching platform helping creators, organizers, brands, and communities connect through verified events, content, and sponsorship opportunities.

We are entering a critical execution phase and need a hands-on CTO to help stabilize the platform, lead engineering, strengthen security, support SponsorOS, and prepare the company for scale and investment.

Role Overview

We are looking for a startup-minded CTO who can work directly with the Founder/CEO and take ownership of the technical direction of VibesMeet.

This is not just a management role. The right person should be able to review architecture, guide engineers, improve security, make technical decisions, and step in hands-on when needed.

This role begins as equity-based, with salary or cash compensation expected to begin after funding, revenue growth, or investment is secured. Final equity and compensation terms will be agreed in writing before engagement begins.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the technical roadmap across web, mobile, backend, cloud infrastructure, security, and data systems.

* Review and improve the existing platform architecture.

* Support development across React.js, Django/Python, React Native, AWS, APIs, and databases.

* Improve AWS infrastructure, DevOps workflows, CI/CD, monitoring, deployment, and reliability.

* Strengthen authentication, authorization, API security, secrets management, data protection, and production access control.

* Support SponsorOS, AI-powered sponsor matching, analytics, event tools, creator tools, and mobile improvements.

* Work with product, design, QA, DevOps, and engineering team members to improve delivery speed and quality.

* Help recruit, onboard, mentor, and manage engineers, QA testers, and technical contractors.

* Support investor conversations with product demos, technical summaries, architecture plans, and scalability strategy.

Required Qualifications

* Experience as a CTO, technical founder, engineering lead, senior full-stack engineer, solutions architect, or similar role.

* Strong backend experience with Python/Django or similar frameworks.

* Strong frontend experience with React.js or modern JavaScript frameworks.

* Experience with React Native or mobile app development.

* Strong AWS experience, including EC2, ECS/Fargate, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFront, IAM, Route 53, and CloudWatch.

* Experience with CI/CD, Docker, GitHub/GitHub Actions, production deployments, and environment management.

* Strong understanding of cloud security, authentication, authorization, API security, and secure engineering practices.

* Experience working in startups or fast-moving product environments.

* Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with marketplaces, social platforms, creator platforms, event platforms, SaaS, or consumer apps.

* Experience with AI/ML, LLM integrations, recommendation systems, analytics, or content moderation.

* Experience with payments, wallets, ticketing, Stripe, Paystack, or subscription systems.

* Prior founder, CTO, or early-stage leadership experience.

Compensation

This is an equity-based founding leadership opportunity at the initial stage. Salary or cash compensation is expected to begin once VibesMeet secures sufficient funding, revenue, or investment.

This role is best suited for someone who wants meaningful equity upside, can operate in an early-stage startup environment, and is comfortable building closely with the Founder/CEO.
