Ensure reliable connectivity for clinical systems, imaging, telehealth, and call center operations across ~650+ sites

Maintain network architecture standards, configuration documentation, and operational runbooks
Oversee network right-sizing, circuit optimization, and redundancy strategies, including last-mile provider diversity and split-edge routing
Manage Cisco-based enterprise telephony and VoIP platforms, with responsibility for transitioning legacy systems (Avaya, Mitel, etc.) to Webex Calling
Lead telecom modernization efforts including carrier consolidation and SIP provider transition
Ensure compliant emergency calling and E911 services across all locations
Oversee call quality monitoring, capacity planning, and carrier/vendor SLAs
Support integration efforts with collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams) and clinical systems
Partner with Cybersecurity to enforce network security controls across a distributed environment
Support HIPAA, audit requirements, and business continuity planning
Ensure resilient infrastructure design supporting clinical uptime requirements
Lead and develop network and telecom engineers and administrators
Provide strategic oversight of MSP partners, ensuring performance, accountability, and alignment with architectural standards
Manage ISP, carrier, hardware, and managed service provider relationships
Support budgeting, forecasting, contract negotiations, and cost optimization
Participate in cross-functional architecture discussions and IT leadership forums

Job Description


The Manager of Network & Telecommunications is responsible for the availability, security and performance of our client’s enterprise network and voice infrastructure. This role ensures reliable connectivity supporting patient care, telehealth, and revenue operations while partnering closely with Cybersecurity, End User Computing (EUC) and Clinical Systems teams.


This is a fully remote position open to candidates in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia.


The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong networking background - roughly 70–80% network-focused and 20–30% telephony.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Network & Telecom Operations

  • Own the availability and performance of enterprise networking leveraging Fortinet, Meraki, and VeloCloud (SD-WAN), with a focus on standardizing on VeloCloud

KEY INITIATIVES (12–18 MONTHS)

  • Lead enterprise migration to Webex Calling and associated telecom consolidation
  • Drive network performance optimization and readiness for voice and telehealth workloads
  • Standardize SD-WAN across all sites and improve network resilience
  • Conduct comprehensive telecom line audit and rationalization
  • Improve proactive monitoring, alerting, and operational visibility
  • Support infrastructure needs tied to clinical system transformations and integrations


REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise network and telecommunications environments
  • 3+ years of experience in technical leadership or people management
  • Strong background in enterprise networking (routing, switching, SD-WAN) with working knowledge of VoIP/UC systems
  • Hands-on experience with Fortinet, VeloCloud, and Cisco voice technologies
  • Experience working in complex, multi-site or acquisition-driven environments preferred
  • Experience supporting healthcare or other regulated environments preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
