Citrix Engineer in MOROCCO

We are currently looking for an English speaking Senior Citrix Engineer to join the team of our customer in the USA. The focus of this role is to maintain the customer’s virtualized infrastructure including VMware ESXi and Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop among other technologies.

This role will be responsible for resolving production issues, working with managed customers to maintain a highly available shared services environment and acting as an escalation point for engineering tasks.

The Senior Citrix Engineer will be required to work with client staff, review and recommend secure system configurations, develop supporting documentation, provide continual guidance and perform knowledge transfer.

The job is 100% remote and needs to be performed from 15h to 23h (GMT+1) Monday through Friday.

Main Responsibilities

• Design/Build/Optimize virtualized infrastructure: Overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of related hardware and software, such as Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, VMware ESXi, Commvault, and storage technologies.
• Understand client technologies from a strategic standpoint, identify areas of improvement to their solutions and systems.
• Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies: Keeping abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Provide subject matter expertise, guidance and recommendations to drive successful client outcomes; occasionally act as an escalation point where strong solution knowledge is needed
• Providing guidance and mentorship: Providing guidance and mentorship to junior members of the engineering team.
• Collaborating with other teams: Working with Customers and internal teams to obtain business requirements, assess solutions, implement technical solutions, and drive client success through innovation, experience, thought leadership
• Build credibility with clients by setting and executing against expectations in line with project scope
• Ensure accurate project time reporting and accountability to project tasks

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required

• Proven experience with Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, VMware ESXi, and Windows Active Directory
• Fluent in English
• Strong understanding of virtualization concepts, including resource allocation, storage, networking, and security.
• Experience with server administration, including Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
• Previous engineering/implementation experience the following technologies: (* - Nice to have Skills):
• Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop
• Virtual Infrastructure – VMWare ESXi or Hyper-V
• Systems Administration and OS – Windows or *nix; stand alone, virtual/cloud, desktop/server
• Backup Admin – Commvault
• Patch Management – SCCM/WSUS, BigFix, Tanium*
• Core networking experience – routing and switching*
• A minimum of 5 years in relevant consulting/engineering roles
• Industry certifications such as: Citrix Certified Professional (CCP), VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP).
