Position: Software Engineer – GitHub Contributor

Type: Contract

About the Opportunity

This opportunity is for experienced Software Engineers with expertise in software development, debugging, code optimization, GitHub collaboration, and distributed systems to contribute to advanced AI research and evaluation projects. You'll apply your software engineering expertise to evaluate AI-generated code, build reinforcement learning environments, and help improve the reasoning, coding, and problem-solving capabilities of next-generation AI systems.

No prior AI experience is required. Your software engineering expertise and real-world development experience are the primary qualifications for success in this role. Professionals with strong GitHub contributions, open-source experience, backend development, or systems programming are especially encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop reinforcement learning environments that evaluate AI models on complex software engineering tasks.
  • Review and assess AI-generated code for correctness, maintainability, efficiency, and software engineering best practices.

  • Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, software design principles, and performance optimization.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and software engineering skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to technical detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
