About The Role
We are seeking an experienced UX/UI Designer with strong expertise in Figma to join our team remotely, based in Washington, DC. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing intuitive and modern digital interfaces for a federal agency, transforming complex financial workflows into user-friendly applications. You will work closely with our Power Platform Developer to translate user needs into thoughtful designs, wireframes, and interactive prototypes. Your work will ensure that agency staff can efficiently interact with critical financial systems, adhering to federal accessibility standards and modern design principles.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required (dual citizens are ineligible)
- Must pass a Public Trust background investigation
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university
- 8+ years of professional experience in UX/UI or product design
- Strong portfolio demonstrating modern, user-centered digital products
- Expert proficiency in Figma for wireframing, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and design systems
- Experience designing for Microsoft Power Platform solutions (Power Apps and Power Pages)
- Experience delivering design work within a federal agency environment
- Solid understanding of user research methods, usability testing, and translating findings into design decisions

- Conduct user research to understand needs and translate findings into clear user flows and wireframes
- Create high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes in Figma to visualize application design and functionality
- Develop and maintain reusable design systems to ensure consistency across platforms
- Collaborate closely with the Power Platform Developer to bring designs to life within Power Apps and Power Pages
- Ensure all interfaces adhere to modern design principles and federal accessibility standards such as Section 508 and WCAG
- Iterate designs based on user feedback and usability testing results to improve user experience
- Maintain documentation of design specifications and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and federal guidelines relevant to UX/UI design
