About The Role
The Junior Data Analyst position at Index Analytics offers an exciting opportunity to support data-driven decision-making and operational improvements within a federal consulting environment. This fully remote role involves analyzing complex datasets, evaluating business processes, and delivering actionable insights that enhance efficiency, data quality, and program outcomes. The analyst will work closely with stakeholders to identify process inefficiencies, data gaps, and opportunities for continuous improvement. The role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate technical findings into clear, understandable recommendations. Candidates must be prepared for an in-person interview at our headquarters to complete the hiring process.
Qualifications
- U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the United States with proof of physical residency in the U.S. for at least three of the past five years
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and pass a Public Trust clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Business, Education, Human Services, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of one year of relevant work experience in data analysis or related roles
- Strong skills in data analysis, reporting, and performance measurement
- Ability to analyze both data and business processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
- Advanced proficiency with Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex findings in clear, straightforward language
- Strong stakeholder collaboration, requirements gathering, and documentation skills
- Attention to detail with a focus on data quality and process accuracy

- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment between business processes, data structures, and system capabilities
- Support system design, testing, and enhancement by defining business and data requirements and validating data capture and reporting tools
