You will be the critical link between the engineering team and in-country operations across Africa. By triaging technical issues and shipping production code fixes in Python and SQL, you will ensure a seamless experience for thousands of informal retailers. What You Will Do

• Triage, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues by hunting down root causes in the codebase and surfacing best practices for distributed teams.
• Ship production-ready code fixes, tests, and platform improvements using Python (Flask) and PostgreSQL to enhance the overall customer experience.
• Own the QA and testing pipeline by building automated test suites that prevent regressions and ensure a reliable experience across the global platform.
  
  

The ideal candidate

• Possesses 2–3 years of experience in an engineering, product, or technical support role, ideally within a fast-paced startup environment.
• Demonstrates intermediate proficiency in Python (Flask) and SQL (PostgreSQL), with a strong desire to dive deep into code and infrastructure on AWS.
• Is a superb communicator capable of bridging the gap between technical requirements and non-technical customer needs across different cultures and timezones.
