Manage and support the Accounts Payable function, overseeing efficient invoice processing, supplier payments and AP operations
Lead system improvements, implementations and process optimisation initiatives to enhance efficiency and support ongoing business growth
Ensure payroll compliance with Australian legislation, including Awards, National Employment Standards (NES), superannuation, taxation requirements and Single Touch Payroll (STP)

Payroll & Accounts Payable Lead


I’m currently partnering with a growing Australian organisation to find an experienced Payroll & Accounts Payable Team Leader to join their finance team.


This is a fantastic opportunity for a payroll focused leader to take ownership of an end to end payroll function, while also overseeing AP operations and driving process improvements across a multi-entity environment.

Responsibilities:


  • Take ownership of the end-to-end payroll function across a multi-entity, multi-award environment, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery
  • Manage and support the Accounts Payable function, overseeing efficient invoice processing, supplier payments and AP operations
  • Lead system improvements, implementations and process optimisation initiatives to enhance efficiency and support ongoing business growth.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with Australian legislation, including Awards, National Employment Standards (NES), superannuation, taxation requirements and Single Touch Payroll (STP)


About You:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience leading payroll and/or accounts payable functions, ideally within a multi-site or multi-entity organisation
  • Experience using payroll, workforce management, and AP automation systems
  • Proven people leadership skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop a small team
