Data Science Expert

We're hiring experienced Data Science Experts to support a cutting-edge AI research project with a leading AI research organization.

Compensation: $120–$170/hour

Location: Remote

Contract: Hourly

This isn't a traditional data science role.

Instead of building models or dashboards, you'll help evaluate how well frontier AI systems perform real-world data science work by defining what excellent work looks like and assessing AI-generated outputs.

What you'll be doing:

• Design task-specific grading criteria for real-world data science deliverables

• Evaluate AI-generated and human work across analyses, models, dashboards, experiment readouts, and business recommendations

• Provide detailed, evidence-based scoring with clear written justifications

• Apply consistent judgment and collaborate with senior reviewers to continuously improve evaluation quality

We're looking for candidates with:

• 5+ years of professional data science experience

• Experience in business operations, product, or growth data science, ideally at leading technology companies

• Strong expertise in experiment design, A/B testing, metric development, SQL, and Python

• The ability to communicate technical insights clearly to business and executive stakeholders

• Excellent written communication and strong attention to detail

Nice to have:

• Experience with AI model evaluation, RLHF, data annotation, or AI training projects
