Junior Automation Specialist

JHC Consulting is an independent advisory firm that provides counsel to heads of industry, board committees, and chief executives. We are currently assisting a Singaporean financial services provider with a significant expansion of their operations. This engagement requires our principals to analyze complex regulatory and strategic data to produce clear, written recommendations. We are seeking a Junior Automation Specialist to support our advisory team by building the technical workflows that allow for precise data handling and rigorous reporting. This is a fully remote position that emphasizes the intersection of technical logic and professional writing.

The Role
The Junior Automation Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining the systems that move information from our clients into our internal analysis frameworks. In this role, you will focus on tactical execution rather than abstract strategy. Your daily work involves ensuring that the data we receive is clean, structured, and ready for our principals to review. Because JHC Consulting avoids slide decks and focuses on the written word, you will spend time automating the production of data appendices for our memoranda.
Your responsibilties will include:

• Building automated workflows to ingest and format data from client systems.
• Writing and maintaining basic scripts to handle repetitive data verification tasks.
• Creating technical documentation that explains how each automation project functions.
• Collaborating with senior analysts to ensure that automated outputs meet the firm standards for accuracy.
• Monitoring remote cloud-based tools to ensure client information is processed without error.
• Refining internal databases to better support our long-term research mandates.

What You Bring
We are looking for an individual who values technical discipline and the clarity of thought required to build stable systems. This is an entry level role, so we do not expect a long history of professional engineering. We do, however, require a candidate who can demonstrate a basic mastery of logic and a high standard for their own written work. You should be comfortable working independently in a remote environment and managing your own tasks without constant supervision.
