About The Role
The Human Resources Operations Specialist at Contec plays a vital role in supporting the HR functions by providing comprehensive transactional and operational support across the employee lifecycle. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director, HR Operations, this remote position involves managing a variety of HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, internal mobility, relocation, and compliance activities. The role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with HRIS systems, primarily Workday. The specialist serves as a primary contact for HR-related inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses to employees, managers, and external contacts. This position also involves participating in process improvement initiatives, supporting HR projects, and maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, analytical capabilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, contributing to a seamless HR experience for all stakeholders.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- Minimum of two years full-time experience in Human Resources or related roles
- Proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), preferably Workday
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
- Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR policies
- Experience handling confidential information with integrity and discretion
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated teamwork and independent work capabilities
- SharePoint experience is a plus
- HR certification or additional training is advantageous
