Job Overview

We're looking for a GTM Marketing Director to own how Ocean shows up in the market - and to make sure that presence drives real pipeline. This isn't a pure brand hire or a pure demand gen hire. We want someone who can do both: someone who keeps the brand sharp and consistent while also rolling up their sleeves to plan and execute campaigns that generate leads and support revenue.

You'll work closely with our CRO and commercial team, sitting at the intersection of GTM strategy, content, and growth marketing. You understand how AI Agents are reshaping the GTM landscape - not as a talking point, but as something you've worked with and thought deeply about. That context will be central to how you position Ocean and craft messaging that resonates.

Responsibilities


Brand & Content

  • Own and evolve Ocean's brand identity across all external touchpoints - channels, campaigns, collateral, and partnerships
  • Develop a thought leadership strategy that positions Ocean's team as credible voices in the AI-driven sales and marketing space
  • Produce high-quality written content across formats: articles, white papers, website copy, sales enablement materials
  • Act as the internal guardian of brand standards - making sure consistency doesn't get lost as we grow
  • Partner with the product team on product marketing: develop positioning, messaging, and launch narratives for new features and capabilities


Demand Generation & GTM

  • Own and run multi-channel demand gen campaigns end-to-end - from strategy and brief through execution, optimization, and reporting
  • Build and manage inbound pipeline programs across content, email, paid, and events
  • Work closely with the sales team to create pipeline-supporting materials and campaigns that actually convert
  • Define and track the KPIs that matter: CAC, pipeline contribution, conversion rates, content-attributed revenue
  • Translate product updates and roadmap milestones into GTM-ready messaging, working hand-in-hand with product and sales


AI & Market Intelligence

  • Leverage your understanding of the AI Agent ecosystem to sharpen how Ocean talks about its product in the context of modern GTM stacks
  • Identify emerging trends in AI-driven sales and marketing and translate them into content and campaign opportunities
  • Use AI tools actively in your workflow - for content production, campaign optimization, research, and distribution


Competitive Landscape Tracking

  • Monitor what competitors are saying and doing - messaging, positioning, campaigns, product announcements, and content
  • Maintain a living view of the competitive landscape and translate it into actionable insights for sales, product, and leadership
  • Identify gaps and opportunities: where are we stronger, where are they louder, and what should we do about it?
  • Feed competitive intelligence into content and campaign strategy - making sure Ocean's voice stands out in a crowded market


Day-to-Day Activities

What a typical week might look like

  • Writing and editing content across formats - articles, social posts, email sequences, sales decks
  • Managing live campaigns: reviewing performance, adjusting targeting, reallocating budget
  • Syncing with the CRO and sales team on pipeline status and upcoming GTM priorities
  • Coordinating with designers on visual content or campaign assets
  • Monitoring brand presence across channels and fixing anything that's off
  • Tracking what's working in the AI Agent and B2B data space and bringing those insights back to the team


Must-Have Requirements

These are non-negotiable. If you don't tick these boxes, this likely isn't the right role.

  • Solid understanding of AI Agents - how they work, how they're being used in GTM and sales workflows, and where the space is heading
  • Proven demand generation experience: you've owned and run B2B campaigns end-to-end and can show pipeline impact
  • Strong GTM instincts - you understand positioning, messaging, and how marketing supports a revenue motion
  • Hands-on content, brand, and product marketing experience: a portfolio that demonstrates range, quality, and strategic thinking
  • 3-5 years in a B2B SaaS marketing environment, with demonstrable product marketing exposure
  • Data-literate: you define KPIs before you launch, track them throughout, and use them to improve

  • Follow the AI Agent and GTM tech space closely - and have strong opinions about where it's going
  • Are energized by working in a small, fast-moving team where your output is visible and directly tied to revenue
  • Think in systems: you don't just write a great piece of content, you think about how it fits into a broader narrative and funnel
  • Are equally comfortable writing a positioning doc and building a campaign
  • Can move between strategic thinking and hands-on execution without losing momentum in either direction
  • Have translated product capabilities into crisp market messaging - and know the difference between a feature and a value propoionsit


What Success Looks Like

In your first 30 days, you've audited our brand presence, identified the biggest gaps, and launched your first demand gen campaign. You understand our ICP deeply, have a clear point of view on our positioning, and have started building a content rhythm the market notices.

Within 90 days, our brand is sharper and more consistent, we have measurable pipeline contribution from marketing, and the team is showing up as credible voices in the conversations that matter to our buyers - particularly around AI-driven GTM.
