Founding Fullstack Engineer

We're partnering with a well-funded AI startup that's reimagining how financial professionals manage portfolios and serve their clients. By combining modern software engineering with AI, they're building an intelligent platform that automates complex workflows, improves decision-making and brings a traditionally manual industry into the AI era.
As one of the first engineering hires, you'll play a key role in shaping both the product and technical architecture from the ground up. You'll work across the full stack, building scalable systems, AI-powered workflows and intuitive user experiences while helping define the engineering culture of a high-growth startup.
What You'll Do
- Build and scale full-stack applications using TypeScript and Node.js.
- Design backend services that process financial data and power mission-critical workflows.
- Develop integrations with third-party financial platforms and data providers.
- Build data pipelines that transform large volumes of financial data into structured datasets.
- Develop AI-powered features, including agent frameworks and LLM integrations.
- Create intuitive product experiences for complex financial workflows.
- Build observability and monitoring systems to improve reliability and accelerate development.
- Work closely with the founding team to influence product direction and technical strategy.

Who We're Looking For
- 3+ years' experience as a Full Stack Engineer building production applications.
- Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
- Experience designing scalable backend systems and APIs.
- Comfortable building data-intensive applications from the ground up.
- Experience shipping products quickly and iterating based on user feedback.
- Cloud experience with AWS, GCP or Azure.
- Strong product mindset and willingness to take ownership across the engineering lifecycle.
- Experience in FinTech, AI/ML or building AI-powered applications is highly desirable.
- Experience working with LLMs, AI agents or modern AI tooling is a bonus.
