Job Description

We’re partnering with a fast-growing AI company developing intelligent digital employees capable of executing sophisticated business workflows for enterprise organizations. The company’s platform combines AI, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and enterprise software to enable autonomous agents to securely operate across the tools and systems businesses use every day.

As a Platform Engineer, you’ll be responsible for building the infrastructure and platform services that support these AI deployments. You’ll work across cloud infrastructure, identity and access, security, enterprise integrations, reliability, and developer tooling, with broad ownership over the systems that allow AI agents to operate effectively within complex enterprise environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain reliable infrastructure supporting AI applications across a variety of enterprise environments.
  • Develop core platform services covering identity, authentication, authorization, permissions, RBAC, access controls, and audit logging.
  • Create and maintain integrations with enterprise communication and collaboration tools including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Teams, Zoom, email, and voice.
  • Build connectors and backend services that enable AI systems to securely interact with business applications such as NetSuite, SharePoint, Google Drive, SAP, Oracle, and similar platforms.
  • Develop reusable frameworks for provisioning new applications, integrations, and customer environments.
  • Own production infrastructure, cloud environments, deployment systems, monitoring, observability, incident response, and overall platform reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and address infrastructure limitations as the platform expands across a growing enterprise customer base.
  • Collaborate with AI and application engineers on APIs, backend services, internal tooling, and infrastructure that support rapid product development.
  • Automate environment setup, configuration, and deployment processes to reduce the time required to take customers from implementation through production.
  • Implement security controls covering access management, data protection, compliance, isolation, and auditability.
  • Help establish infrastructure architecture, engineering standards, and best practices as the platform continues to scale.
  • Take ownership of significant technical initiatives from system design and development through deployment and ongoing production support.
  • Contribute to the company’s technical direction and help shape engineering practices as the organization grows.

What We’re Looking For

  • Background in computer science, software engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related technical field. Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience building and operating production software, cloud infrastructure, or distributed systems.
  • Experience designing and developing backend or infrastructure platforms where reliability, scalability, and performance are important.
  • Strong understanding of identity systems, authentication, authorization, RBAC, APIs, and distributed architectures.
  • Experience integrating software with enterprise SaaS platforms, communication tools, productivity applications, or other business-critical systems.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, production deployments, monitoring, observability, incident management, and on-call responsibilities.
  • Ability to work across both application and infrastructure layers when solving complex technical problems.
  • Strong engineering judgment with a focus on building pragmatic, maintainable, production-quality systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently take projects from architecture and design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing ownership.
  • Experience with enterprise security, compliance, SOC 2, access management, data governance, or vendor security reviews is highly valued.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical engineering teams.
  • Comfortable working in an early-stage, rapidly changing environment where engineers are expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $230,000 – $285,000, depending on experience
  • Location: San Francisco, CA, Hybrid
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents
  • 401(k)
  • Visa sponsorship
  • Significant influence over platform and infrastructure architecture
  • High ownership and visibility within a rapidly scaling AI company
