Job Title: Organic Social Media Specialist
Start Date: Ready to interview for an early August start
Duration: Freelance (40 hours/week) with potential to extend and/or convert to full time
Location: Remote

Overview:
Our client, a well-respected foodservice brand, is seeking an experienced Organic Social Media Specialist to join their team on a full-time contract basis. This fully remote role is ideal for a highly strategic and hands-on social media professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands digital culture, and knows how to turn insights into engaging, high-performing content.

You'll own organic social strategy across key platforms, acting as both a thinker and a doer, partnering closely with creative, marketing, and paid media teams to strengthen brand presence, grow engaged communities, and drive measurable results.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute the organic social media strategy aligned to brand and business objectives
  • Develop and manage a strategic content calendar across platforms and content pillars
  • Publish, optimize, and schedule content to maximize reach and engagement
  • Proactively pitch new organic content ideas based on trends, insights, and brand moments
  • Partner with creative teams to brief and guide social-first content development
  • Manage day-to-day community engagement, serving as the brand's voice across channels
  • Monitor conversations and sentiment, escalating risks or opportunities as needed
  • Track, analyze, and report performance; provide data-driven recommendations
  • Collaborate with paid media partners to identify high-performing organic content
  • Stay current on algorithm updates, platform changes, and industry best practices


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing organic social media for a B2C or B2B brand
  • Strong understanding of platform-specific best practices (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest, Reddit, etc.)
  • Proven ability to grow and engage audiences through organic social media
  • Analytical mindset with experience setting KPIs and reporting on performance
  • Experience using social media management and analytics tools (Sprout, Hootsuite, Later, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Passion for digital trends, social culture, and emerging platforms
