Job Description

Senior HR Generalist

Wellness Care, a TWG Company • Richardson, Texas • On-Site • Full-Time

Come to Texas. Build Something That Matters.

Wellness Care, a company under the umbrella of The Wellness Group, is a next-generation chronic care and transitional care management platform dedicated to transforming how patients are supported before, during, and after clinical encounters. Operating nationally, Wellness Care delivers Medicare-covered Chronic Care Management (CCM) and Transitional Care Management (TCM) through coordinated care teams. We unite around one mission: ensuring no patient is ever left behind.

We are in an ambitious national growth phase and are building the team to match.

This isn't a role built around endless meetings, corporate theater, or creating work for the sake of looking busy. We value good judgment, honest conversations, accountability, and people who can make decisions without waiting for three committees and a PowerPoint presentation.

We hire on merit, character, work ethic, judgment, and results. If that sounds refreshing, keep reading.

The Job

You'll own Human Resources at Wellness Care.

Not as a passenger.

Not as a "support resource."

As a trusted business partner.

You'll lead recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits, policies, performance management, and all the little things that keep a growing company running smoothly.

One hour you may be recruiting an exceptional candidate. The next you may be coaching a manager through a difficult conversation. Then you'll be reviewing compensation, updating policies, helping resolve an employee issue, or making sure we're buttoned up under Texas and federal employment law.

No two days will look alike.

This position requires experience, judgment, resilience, warmth, discretion, and the confidence to make thoughtful decisions.

What You'll Do

  • Own full-cycle recruiting from job posting through offer.
  • Write job descriptions that sound like they were written by an actual human.
  • Source candidates through LinkedIn, referrals, job boards, and community networks.
  • Keep candidates informed throughout the hiring process. We don't ghost people.
  • Manage our ATS and recruiting metrics.
  • Create an onboarding experience that makes new employees excited about joining the team.
  • Answer employee questions about benefits, payroll, policies, leave, and workplace issues.
  • Ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC, Texas employment law, and other applicable regulations.
  • Administer benefits and open enrollment with the kind of organization that makes everyone's life easier.
  • Handle employee relations with fairness, professionalism, and common sense.
  • Conduct investigations and help managers address performance concerns directly and respectfully.
  • Keep our handbook practical, current, and readable.
  • Partner with leadership on compensation, organizational structure, job levels, and workforce planning.
  • Help build a workplace where talented people thrive and unnecessary bureaucracy never gains momentum.

What We're Looking For

  • Five or more years of progressive HR Generalist experience.
  • Strong recruiting and HR operations experience.
  • Working knowledge of federal and Texas employment law.
  • Experience in a growing company where everyone pitches in.
  • The ability to earn trust at every level of the organization.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities change.
  • Experience with HRIS and ATS systems. Gusto experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred, although we'll take real experience over a collection of letters after your name.

Who You Are

You're calm under pressure.

Direct without being abrasive.

Kind without being a pushover.

Organized without creating unnecessary process.

You don't need a committee to make every decision.

You understand that policies matter, but judgment matters just as much.

You can recruit, coach, investigate, negotiate, document, and still have enough energy left to laugh with your coworkers before heading home.

You understand that the best HR professionals protect both employees and the company by insisting on fairness, clarity, consistency, and common sense.

Why The Wellness Group?

  • Direct access to leadership.
  • A company where your work has visible impact.
  • A fast-growing organization with real opportunities for advancement.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits.
  • A practical, merit-based culture.
  • Richardson, Texas, in the heart of one of America's fastest-growing business communities.
  • Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Why Texas?

Because Texas continues to attract builders.

Richardson offers access to one of the strongest economies in the country, outstanding communities, no state income tax, and a quality of life that lets you spend more time living and less time sitting in traffic.

If you're looking for a place where your judgment is trusted, your work matters, and your ideas won't spend six months waiting for committee approval, we'd love to meet you.
