Job Description
The National Pork Board (NPB) is seeking a strategic and relationship-focused Director of Foodservice Marketing to lead national foodservice demand generation initiatives that increase the volume and value of U.S. pork across commercial and non-commercial foodservice channels.
This role is responsible for executing NPB's foodservice marketing strategy by identifying growth opportunities, developing go-to-market plans, building strategic partnerships, and translating market insights into actionable programs. Working collaboratively across the organization and throughout the pork value chain, the Director will help strengthen pork's position in foodservice while delivering measurable value for U.S. pork producers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute national foodservice marketing strategies aligned with NPB's strategic priorities.
- Identify growth opportunities across restaurant, healthcare, higher education, hospitality, convenience, travel, and other foodservice segments.
- Lead go-to-market strategies with distributors, restaurant chains, manufacturers, processors, and other key industry partners.
- Build executive relationships with customers, distributors, GPOs, consultants, industry associations, and allied organizations.
- Translate consumer, operator, and marketplace insights into marketing strategies and business recommendations.
- Partner with Marketing, Communications, Consumer Insights, Research, Culinary, Producer Outreach, and other internal teams to execute integrated demand generation initiatives.
- Manage strategic partnerships, agency relationships, budgets, and program performance while measuring ROI.
- Represent NPB at customer meetings, industry conferences, and public speaking engagements.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development for assigned team members and cross-functional project teams.

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Agricultural Business, Communications, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience in foodservice marketing, sales, channel marketing, business development, or a related food industry role.
- Demonstrated success developing go-to-market strategies and leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Strategic planning, market analysis, budget management, and project management experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems (such as Salesforce), and presentation tools.
- Knowledge of the U.S. pork industry, pork supply chain, and foodservice ecosystem preferred.
- Experience working with national restaurant chains, distributors, manufacturers, or agricultural organizations preferred.

National Pork Board’s home office is in Clive, Iowa. Ability to work in the office on a hybrid (3 days/week) schedule is required. Relocation assistance may be offered.
Approximately 60-75% travel required. Application deadline is July 24th however, we may speak to qualified candidates prior to the close date.
Full-time starting salary range is $160K-$180K. Please note: This starting range is based on a general market pay assessment. However, individual salary decisions take into account a variety of factors including but not limited to: business and local market considerations, internal equity, and overall candidate skills, education and experience.
