Cloud Engineer in SPAIN

Job Description:

As a Cloud Engineer (GCP SRE), you will be a critical member of our new team, focusing on the management and continuous improvement of our GCP data infrastructure. You will utilize your expertise in GCP data services and cloud logging and monitoring tools to create monitoring and metrics dashboards, define alerting strategies, and implement robust alerting systems. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the reliability and performance of our data systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and continuously improve GCP data infrastructure to enhance reliability, efficiency, and performance.
• Utilize your experience as a Data SRE or similar role to oversee GCP data infrastructure management.
• Leverage knowledge of GCP Data Services (Big Query, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, GCS).
• Utilize advanced knowledge in Cloud Logging and Monitoring using tools like Cloud Logging and New Relic.
• Create Monitoring and Metrics Dashboards using Google Cloud Operations (GCO).
• Define alerting policies, including User Journeys, Service Level Indicators (SLI), Service Level Objectives (SLO), Service Level Agreements (SLA), and alerting strategies.
• Collect, route, and analyze logs using GCP Cloud Logging, and create log-based metrics and exporting logs.
• Implement a robust alerting system to proactively identify and resolve issues in data systems and infrastructure.

Mandatory Skills:

• Extensive experience in data infrastructure management, particularly with GCP.
• Knowledge of GCP Data Services: Big Query, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, Google Cloud Storage (GCS).
• Advanced knowledge of cloud logging and monitoring tools, such as Cloud Logging and New Relic.
• Experience in creating monitoring and metrics dashboards using Google Cloud Operations (GCO).
• Proficiency in defining alerting policies, including SLI, SLO, SLA, and alerting strategies.
• Expertise in GCP Cloud Logging, including collection, routing, log-based metrics, exporting logs, and log analytics.
• Ability to implement a robust alerting system for data infrastructure.
