UI Designer

Key responsibilities:
- Consistently improve the user interface of a fast-evolving software platform.
- Transform user stories and UX designs into realistic and platform consistent UI vision.
- Maintain the Design system in Figma to support efficient design and foster effective collaboration with developers.
- Prepare clearly annotated UI designs for development to implement and test.
- Report to Senior Product Manager. Work with Product Owners, CPO and UX Designers to design new features and continuous product improvement.
- Work within an agile development environment using SCRUM processes and sprints.
- Prepare animated UI prototypes and story boards to communicate designs effectively.
- Present designs to stakeholders and colleagues
- Collaborate with other UI and UX designer to deliver consistent and synchronized designs.
- Work with the development team to find cross platform technology solutions.
- Test your UI designs with interviews, user surveys and usability tests to evaluate effectiveness.
- Review UI designs implemented by dev team and offer feedback, quality assurance and direction.
- Frequently review competitors and other benchmark software to stay on top of trends.
- Support the production of marketing materials and other branding assets.
- Review customer and business stakeholder feedback to deliver improvements
Essential Knowledge & Skills
- Higher Diploma / Degree – 2 years’ experience
- Exceptional Figma design skills
- Experience creating cross platform software for Web, PC and Mobile.
- Works well under pressure and in fast moving environments, shifting priorities with ease
- Ability to work within our existing UI design system as well as push for continual improvement
- Demonstratable portfolio of live work, showcasing UI work to date.
- Strong vector graphic and demonstratable UI prototyping skills.
- Degree focused on UI design, UX design, Human Interface, Media or equivalent.
- Strong software skills in Figma, Figjam, Adobe XD, Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Experience working in agile environments using Scrum / Kanban.
- Knowledge and experience in marketing and user experience design.
- Excellent communication skills and empathy for the user.
- Ability to collaborate with different teams and disciplines, such as business and development.
