FileCloud is on the lookout for an accomplished Director of DevOps to join our ever-growing team. The ideal candidate will spearhead the transformation of our current DevOps units into a driving force for CI/CD practices, an elevated use of automation and infrastructures as code (IaC), ultimately leading to minimizing integration issues, delivering updates more frequently, and improving software quality.

About the Product & Company:

FileCloud is a hyper-secure EFSS (enterprise file sync and share) platform that provides industry leading compliance, data governance, data leak protection, data retention and digital rights management capabilities. FileCloud is a leader in content governance and collaboration for unstructured data, trusted and used worldwide across Global 1000 enterprises, educational institutions, government organizations, and service providers. In addition to its enterprise file sharing solution, FileCloud’s product portfolio also includes Signority (acquired in May 2024), a Canadian-based e-signature and document workflow platform. We are currently expanding our team as we grow and improve FileCloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically report to the CTO and align your vision with the organization’s overarching technological goals.
  • Transform the current service-oriented develops-units into a proactive organization that drives CI/CD practices with high degrees of automation and regular software deliveries.
  • Collaborate with product management, software development, and quality engineering teams to ensure efficient and consistent software releases.
  • Develop strategies to transition from a verticalized organizational setup to one which is cross-functional.
  • Cultivate a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will manage 3 experienced teams of a total of about 10+ engineers, largely located in India and the Middle East.

  • The DevOps and Build Team ensure the seamless end-to-end delivery of software releases, including the availability and management of development infrastructure.
  • The Infrastructure Development Team is responsible for the creation and maintenance of services and systems (CRM, licensing tools etc.) that ensure the flawless operation of the business.
  • The Online Operations Team ensures that end-users utilizing FileCloud’s SaaS solutions enjoy a customer experience (usability, availability, performance) that is in line with FileCloud’s Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

Qualification:

  • A demonstrated experience in leading organizational transformations towards agile and DevOps ways of working.
  • 8+ years at senior leadership level managing multiple teams, with a proven ability to inspire and lead teams through change. Strong interpersonal skills, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • A deep domain expertise in software delivery, with a strong grasp of DevOps and CI/CD practices, and a clear practical understanding of what works and what doesn’t.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and IaC (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2 and GDPR) and strategies for cost-control is a plus.
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solution Architect or equivalent would advantages.
  • Some experience with development is also a plus.
