On behalf of the European Space Agency, we are looking for a highly skilled Systems Engineer to work in ESTEC, in the Netherlands.
What is expected from you:
- Collect technical elements and provide inputs to support the ESA responsible authority in the evolution of space standards, in the area of competence of systems engineering.
- Provide expertise to the process of capture and transfer of knowledge and lessons learned across the Agency:
- Participate to meetings.
- Interview project stakeholders to gather their inputs.
- Support the production of output synthesis and required documentation.
- Support ESA Education and Outreach initiatives:
- Contribute to the definition of agenda of events.
- Provide inputs to presentations.
- Produce visual artefacts e.g. brochures and support material,
o Inputs to Technical Documentation as applicable.
What you offer:
- A Master’s Degree in Physics, Engineering or Computer Science.
- Space Missions and Spacecraft Systems Design
- Understanding of space systems architectures
- Systems Engineering, in particular in the early project phases
- Experience with system requirements and interfaces management
- Concurrent Engineering Methodology, tools, applications
- Mission Analysis
- Digitalisation and MBSE methodology
- Visualisation Technology (Augmented Reality, Extended Reality - AR/XR)
- Clean Space, Zero Debris, Eco-Design
- Project support experience in systems engineering, including reviews
- Experience with execution of industrial activities
- Experience with Space Engineering Standards and their preparation and implementation
- A sound and proven experience in coordinating a high volume of multidisciplinary inputs in a dynamic environment, with continuously evolving boundary conditions.
- Ability to interface with multiple stakeholders and Ability to efficiently produce synthesis of information.
- Excellent communication skills.

Where:
You will be working within ESTEC, the European Space Agency’s offices in the Netherlands as a contractor for Telespazio Belgium. We don’t expect the employees to be on-site full time however you will still have to relocate to the Netherlands for this position.
