Senior SaaS Software Web Application Tester (Freelance)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced SaaS Software Web Application Tester (Software Test Engineer) to join our team on a freelance contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, performance, security, and reliability of both SaaS and Mobile Applications through comprehensive testing strategies, automation, and performance validation.

The successful candidate should have hands-on experience in functional and nonfunctional testing, API testing, test case creation and execution, security testing, performance testing, and automation testing using industry-standard tools.

Key Responsibilities

Functional & Manual Testing

· Analyze business and technical requirements and prepare comprehensive test plans and test cases.

· Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and user acceptance testing.

· Identify, document, track, and verify defects through to resolution.

· Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure product quality.

API Testing

· Design and execute API test scenarios.

· Validate request/response structures, business logic, authentication, and integrations.

· Perform end-to-end API testing and troubleshoot integration issues.

Automation Testing

· Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts.

· Improve test coverage and optimize automation frameworks.

· Integrate automated testing within CI/CD pipelines where applicable.

Performance & Load Testing

· Conduct performance, stress, load, and scalability testing.

· Analyze bottlenecks and provide recommendations for optimization.

· Monitor and validate system performance under varying workloads.

Security Testing

· Perform basic application security testing and vulnerability assessments.

· Validate authentication, authorization, session management, and API security controls.

· Work with development teams to address identified security risks.

Mobile Application Testing

· Test native and/or cross-platform mobile applications across Android and iOS devices.

· Validate functionality, usability, compatibility, and performance across multiple devices and operating system versions.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

· 3–5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.

· Strong experience in API Testing.

· Strong experience in functional and nonfunctional testing

· Experience creating and executing detailed test cases and test scenarios.

· Hands-on experience with:

• Selenium
• JMeter
• Grafana
• Postman or similar API testing tools

· Familiarity with cloud-based SaaS application.

· Knowledge of Postgres and database testing.

· Experience with monitoring and observability tools.

· Duration: 6 Months (1 July 2026 – 30 December 2026)
