About The Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic HR team. This part-time position, averaging 20 hours per week, offers a flexible schedule from Monday to Friday and is fully remote, based in the Richmond, VA area. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee inquiries, and administrative tasks. The Human Resources Assistant will work closely with HR leadership to ensure smooth operations and uphold our commitment to an inclusive, respectful, and productive work environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attentive to detail and solution-focused mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) or Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is a plus
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Previous experience in human resources or recruiting is preferred
  • Successful completion of a criminal background screening
  • Must be located within the Richmond, VA area or able to work remotely from this location

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the recruitment process by maintaining job postings, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including data entry and record keeping
  • Respond promptly and professionally to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures
  • Support onboarding and orientation programs for new hires to ensure a smooth integration into the company
  • Participate in special projects and operational tasks as assigned by HR leadership
  • Maintain the confidentiality of employee information and sensitive HR records
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and procedures
  • Assist in organizing employee engagement initiatives and training sessions as needed
