Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sales and Business Development Manager with experience in construction and/or architecture, based in the City of Cape Town and requiring relocation to Tanzania. The role involves identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with investors looking to invest in real estates, luxurious villas, hotels, resorts and restaurants, and driving sales of Talanta’s interior design client. The Sales and Business Development Manager will conduct market research, develop go-to-market strategies, prepare proposals, lead product presentations and demos, and negotiate contracts. The role also includes collaborating with interior designers, management teams, and QS teams to tailor solutions to client needs, monitor account performance, and ensure a smooth onboarding experience. The manager will track sales metrics, provide regular pipeline and forecasting reports, and represent the firm at industry events and networking activities.

- Proven experience in sales and business development, specifically within the construction and/or architecture sectors, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Strong client relationship management skills, including stakeholder engagement, consultative selling, and managing long sales cycles.
- Ability to conduct market and competitor analysis, identify opportunities, and develop effective go-to-market and account strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, including the ability to prepare compelling proposals and lead product demos.
- Comfort working with cross-functional teams (designing, marketing, operations) to tailor solutions and resolve client issues.
- High level of adaptability, cultural awareness, and willingness to relocate and work on-site in Tanzania.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and basic data analysis to track pipeline, conversions, and revenue performance.
